moments of our days

just some moments i dont want to forget...

at the store one day, addison was barefoot from her screaming to pull her socks off on our way there. she had already thrown the shoes, so taking off the socks was the next step. once we were at the store it would have been too much effort to put socks & shoes back on, so i carried her in barefoot. she was sitting in the cart when she pulled her feet up into the sitting area and said "tickle tick tickle tick" and acted like she was tickling her own feet. after that she paused and did a loud fake laugh "HA HA HA HA!" it was probably the funniest thing i've ever seen her do and reiterated that she is in fact - my child!

another thing she likes to do in the store is say her favorite word to everyone we pass. "HI!" "HI!" "HI!" one day she said it to a somewhat frightening looking man, whom i would have normally stayed away from, but he was getting hotdogs too... anyway, she said "HI!" and gave him a great big smile and i will never forget the look on his face and how he almost looked like he could cry when he said "HI!" back to her. its eye opening now non-judgemental children are and i can only hope and say that i am learning from her!

she has most recently started doing a cheesy smile, pulling her top teeth in. she likes to do this when someone says "where's that pretty smile!?" it is as well, something that screams THIS IS MY CHILD!

another shocker... when you ask her if she's hungry, she will pretend to chew and then run to the kitchen. she's got it down where the food is, right up to the fridge! i swear if she could reach the cupboards, she'd be getting her own cereal in the morning. i can wait for that! no growing up is allowed here.

a sad moment was the day she decided that she didnt want me rocking her to sleep anymore. she squirmed and waved bye-bye until i laid her down in her crib. when i lost my job, i finally had some snuggle time again - NAP TIME! :) i loved snuggling with her in the chair, sleeping for 2-2.5 hours and it was just pure bliss having her head on my chest again. up until recently - now she squirms and such until i ask her if she would like to take a nap. she then runs off to her bedroom and pulls on the crib rails until i put her in bed. she will lay down and is usually asleep before i even get out of the room. its great that she's such a good sleeper, but i will always cherish any cuddle time i get with my baby.
